K and I went shopping in Seminyak one day.

Then went to Kudeta for pizzas for lunchhhhyyyyy.

The boys were out golfing.

It didn't taste like a pear. It was nice but not like pearish.

On Saturday my friend K and I went to South Yarra to look at some fabric for my wedding dresssss. How unfun. I didnt find what I wanted but I DID get this delicious cakey from lux bite.

It was some sort of watermelon flavour.

I also had a lychee rose macaron and a peanut butter macaron.

In Bali Tie Dye is necessary.

F and I hunted these bad boys down and wore matching tshirts to breakfast to be like an asian couple.

So many couples and families were all dressed matching and we had to join in the fun.

Except, no one else found it funny like we did.

People looked at us weird.

Our driver and butler thought we were crazy.

I wish I had a driver and butler in Australia.

D and I looked at this chapel to get married in but the lady said that even with the air con on, it gets warm in there with the afternoon sun.

I decided against it because I dont want to be hot and sweaty in my photos.

That'd be yuck.

Plus I don't want guests feeling sweaty and uncomfortable.

I miss my random breakfasts at the buffet.

Here I have a banana fritter, pancakes, some boiled snakefruit, pancakes, almond pastry, weird green rice cake which I love, macadamia nuts and strawberries!!

WAH.

So much fun.

I am watching the Australian Amazing Race now.

Rock Bar, Bali

Our hotel had this awesome bar called The Rock Bar.

It was nice for sunset drinks and snacks.

You have to use a cable car to access it which freaked me out a lot. It wasnt that scary when I got on.

It's so much fun to eat and is healthy.

Bali breakfasts and Ku De Ta

These were the best crepes ever.

Amazing.

I wish I could eat them every day.

I LOVE fresh guava juice. Wish we could get it here. All that guava juice at the supermarkets is foul and super sweet sugary grossness. BLEUGH.

I think they chilled the silver bit and then you slide your glass in and it helps to keep it coolish.

We decided to play tennis and after getting ready I went to put my sneakers on and realised i had accidently packed TWO LEFT FEET.

UGHHHh.

So annoying.

I could of cried. and laughed. I think we laughed and cried for about 10 minutes.

I played half the game with two left feet and the other half with one shoe on, one shoe off.

Our butler Pepi thought I bought the runners in Kuta and got ripped off because they gave me two different shoes.

HAHAHA.

EASILY DONE THOUGH YEAH?!

We went to Ku De Ta one night because everybody talks about it.

It's a nice place.

We had many cocktails.

I had a trusty mojito.

SWEATY FACE.

I don't handle heat well.

But then our waiter suggest I try this lychee rose martini.

It is now known as " best cocktail ever"

I think about it a lot.

I never knew that I liked rose flavour drinks. I usually avoid them on a menu.

But they taste like TURKISH DELIGHT and I LOVE me some turkish delight.

It's 1.15 now.

I still haven't had breakfast, let alone lunch.

Too lazy to cook something.

Decided to blog instead.

I wish I lived in a hotel full time where I had room service.

Why cant I be on gossip girl? They all seem to live in hotels.

My internet is back.

D and I went with some friends to Bali about a month ago.

It was the best.

I still have post holiday depression.

It was nice to have a week of hot weather.

We stayed at the Ayana Resort in Jimbaran Bay.

I've been so lazy with the camera lately. I really cbf taking photos and just take random snaps with my iphone instead.

Taco and I went for breakfast last week.

I got lemon curd crepes with berries.

She got to watch me eat it.

I felt guilty.

She did try and eat some though.

Sneaky.

D's mum took me to Lionel Richie.

How exciting.

It was so much fun!

The sound was awesome and had a little dance.

I went with my friend A to Izakaya Den on Russell street for dinner.

There wasn't much I could eat.

All the vegetarian dishes weren't really clear on whether they had fish stock or not.

Like dashi and bonito or whatever?

I was excited by the panda glasses though.

My face doesn't really show this. It looks more like I just saw a ghost?

HAHA I dunno.

Here is my apple, celery and walnut salad.

There were some currants in there too.

IMO, it needed about a billion times more celery.

I also had some sort of capsicum stir fry that tasted chinese food court.

The corn was nice though!

And I had some delicious salty rice.

I LOVE sake. It's so nice. I don't know why it's not more popular.

I had a sake mojito and then this bottle of sake.

For dessert we had the fondue and the black sesame brule.

I love black sesame so much.

It's so delicious.

After dinner we went to Siglo and drank too much.

It all went downhill from there and I ended up at home with my head spinning.

I woke up on the couch the next day with this little piglet on my stomach.

I had my iphone there so I took a photo.

How I didn't want up from Taco sleeping on my stomach, I have no idea!!

I wonder how long she slept there?

I went to chaddy today to help my friend K find a dress for her engagement party.

In the last few days I have taken some photos while waiting in traffic.

I had my dental appointment the other day so I thought I would get some macarons on the way home.

I saw these on Je m'appelle Sophia's blog ( link in my blog roll -->) and they looked so cute!!

She has a link on her blog for the website and all the details.

It made me feel like I was back in Paris for a minute..

Macarons always look better than they taste.

Then D and I continued on with the renos and went to last minute places to choose tiles, paint colours etc.

I needed SUGAR to get through it so I got a CHERRY COKE and PRETZEL flavoured m&m's.

They were kinda salty crunchy.

I liked them.

Then chose shades of brown.

THRILLING

I got my nails did today.

Thought I would try a colour.

Wanted a pink but they were all at my mums.

Found this purple one from Kit.

Still scared of my nails.

Wahhhhh.

I'm still here..just.

I have the flu and now the doctor says I might have a stomach ulcer from taking too many nurofens when I had my wisdom teeth out.

Booo. I better lose a few kgs from all this vomiting.

I've been sick non stop since xmas and it reeks.

I've become a sook and need my mum here all the time to watch Atlanta Housewives with me and drive me to appointments and make sure I dont code blue. HA.

Thank jebus I have my trustly calming candle to keep my company at home..

I love rose scent.

Too sick to walk Taco so I took her to the dog park today so she could get some fresh air and have a wander.

When I'm sick I must wear biggest sloppiest clothes and biggest sunnies to cover feral face.

Lucky I bought this jumper from Sportsgirl in Perth last week.

Hello!

Long time , no see.

I am back in Melbourne now. YAY.

The journey back was mammoth. Plane issues. Switching Planes.

Luggage not coming till the next day. Wahh!

Anyway. It's all over now.

I went to Perth over the weekend for Soundwave. Originally was planning to go to Melbourne but D couldn't get back here because of work so we went to Perth.

It was so much fun.

Glad I went to Perth instead. There were no lines and you could get close to the stages easily.

Apart from Slayer.

That was redic. I think they under estimated how popular Slayer are, or perhaps the band requested not to be on a main stage? I have no idea.

I had no idea what to wear. I hate dressing for hot weather. I prefer winter where I can cover all my skin.

Hello!

I'm still alive! Only just!!

This past month has been effing horrid.

I had a tooth ache like crazy but I thought it'd go away.

Went to dentist. She said it was my wisdom coming through but I had to go for an x-ray.

Over the next few days it went to the worst pain of my lifeeeee!!

Got the x-rays.

Had to get all 4 out. WAH.

My face became so swollen they had to give me tablets to get the swelling down before my mouth could open.

SOOOOOOOO I had to go into hospital and get all 4 out under general.

Now I've been out of hospital for 8 days and the pain is EVEN WORSE.

Saw the surgeon today and turns out I got a "dry socket" and he shoved some shredded cloves in the hole that went down to my jaw bone. EW.

My mouth tastes off.

HURRY UP AND BE OVER.

I've been so sick from all the pain killers.

Im allergic to panadine forte and nurofen forte so I basically just sit here dying.

It's THE WORST PAIN EVER.

So now I sit here $3000 later and I'm still in pain.

I'd rather of got D to rip them out with a bloody set of pliers, shove some vodka on them, use the money to buy a new Chanel bag and call it a day.

$3000?!!?!

WAHHH!!!

I always thought in this country if you need surgery that isn't elective it was free.

I dunno.

Oh well.

Shit happens hey.

Anyway, I thought I would blog some photos now that I'm feeling less druggy.

Back in December, D and I went to a 60th at the Cuckoo in Mt Dandenong. Maybe Olinda? Not too sure.

Anyway. It best the BOMB.

It was so funny. We drank beer from "steins" ??! (huge mugs) and ate lots of potatoes.

I had potato patties, roast potatoes, chips, potato salad.

It was funny.

Then they had this dessert buffet. I thought it was funny to have jam and cream scones at night.

I liked the black poppy seed one the best.

They do a little music and weird kind of interaction with the audience and yodeling.

It was pretty funny.

I think if you go with a good group and drink lots of beer its heaps of fun!

Melbourne Aquarium

Last week I went to the Melbourne Aquarium with a friend.

She wanted to see the baby hammer head sharks...or swim with them..or something. I dunno.

I agreed to go because I thought I would try new things this year.

The first exhibit when you enter is the penguin jail. I mean, penguin enclosure.

Maaaaannnnn. I felt so bad for the penguins.

What kind of life is this?

There is nothing for them to do.

It got me thinking " I wonder if penguins do much in the wild?" Do they just stand around.

I'm sure they don't tap dance like Happy Feet would like us to believe.

What is this penguin doing? Sleeping?

Haha. Clearly I didn't learn much about penguins.

I like the penguins with the yella best.

I liked to take photos of the ugly fish the best.

No one else did.

I felt bad for the ugly fish.

I could relate to them. HAHAHAH

This one was probs the ugliest.

I want to get lots of derma fillers in my lips so I can look like him.

I think you should all go and look at the fish and protest the penguins.

I feel very weird about zoos.

It was my birthday a few weeks ago.

30th of December to be exact.

D got me balloons.

He also got me a cake for breakfast.

I find it hard to eat in the morning but I made an exception.

I wonder why he chose green candles?

Hello!

Merry Xmas. Happy New Year.

It's been forever since I have blogged.

December was a very busy month.

GOOD NEWS TO SHARE.

My mum had breast cancer last year but as of a few days before Xmas, she finished her radiotherapy and the cancer is all gone.

YAY.

Best Xmas Ever with that news.

It was a very hard time. I didn't want to talk about it. Remember Bali? That was a family trip to help relax my mum and spend time together during the stressful period.

I am so glad it is over.

I just ask one thing, PLEASE EVERYONE, get your mums to go for regular mammograms.

My mum probably wouldn't be here today if she didn't.

I never thought it would happen to someone so close to me, but it does.

Force your mums if need be!

Back to Xmas. I will make this quick.

I'm sure you are all over it by now.

We had some friends over before Xmas for our traditional Xmas Cognacs.

We also had cherries and gingerbread mens.

I miss Christmas Cognacs.

I think I need to start a tradition of Easter Cognacs.

Easter is more champagne though maybe. I dunno. hmm

HAPPY FRIDAY!!

This week has been so busy and bleugh.

Family heath issues resulted in me helping to run a lunch shop and it was damn HARD.

Kudos to all you people who work in kitchens and lunch shops.

Dang. It's like 50 degrees in there.

I think I will be back next week too.

I can whip up a ham + salad roll like nobody's business.

Which is weird...because I don't eat ham. Hahah.

I can also deep fry potato cakes well.

I think my aunty is all in clear now so I am happy.

Perth CBD at night.

Perth CBD becomes quite pretty at night because it's basically a ghost town.

It's nice to walk around a bit.

Xmas decorations are now being put up so I took some photos.

I walked in on a dress rehearsal for a choir.

They were doing all the wiring etc so I didn't get to hear the singing.

Some weird $2 fairy lights in the main strip.

I wonder if someone will rip them off before Xmas?

Most likely.

The always pretty London Court.

I wish there was good shops or cafes down here.

Such a pity that it isn't used to its full potential.

It's so cute.

I look so hagged after walking around Perth all day.

We spent some time in the hospital visiting D's new baby cousin!

She was so cute!

We went from the hospital in Subi to Northbridge for dinner and then walked all the way back to East Perth.

You can imagine how sore my legs were for the next 2 days.

$20 shoes that I got in Haji Lane in Singapore.

Yesssss.

They're so comfy and crap. I love them.

I will wear them a lot this summer. Unless they break in 2 weeks. Which is likely.

Lazy Pool Days!!!

I got to wear my Bali pants again! YAY.

I spent 4 hours lying under wet towels like this..

And then the vomiting started...the throbbing headache...blurred vision..

wahhh.

I had to go to hospital to to get the hydration saline? stuff in my veins and injections to stop the vomiting.

The doctor thought I might of caught a bacteria from Bali because it had been exactly 3 days since I left Bali.... The blood tests didn't pick up anything but it took me a week to get back to normal.

I felt much better the next day and just avoided alcohol and rank lots of poccari sweat.

We went over to K and Ks hotel and look at how awesome their bed was!

My fav thing in Singapore.

PREGNANCY PILLOW.

I want one SO BAD. Does anyone else have a pregnancy pillow?

I want one. Would it be weird to buy one?

We went upstairs to their roof top infinity pool.

D pretended to jump off the edge and raise my blood pressure through the roof.

Later we decided to go to the observation deck at the new Marina Bay Sands hotel and casino.

D and I didn't bring our passports so there was so casino action.

After we head down to Little India for lunch.

It's so colourful and cray cray!!

We ate at a banana leaf restaurant and I had a coconut to rehydrate.

According to a Nudie bottle I read, young coconut water has 3x the amount of electrolytes than water has.

Interesting.

I had to Sepia this photo because I looked so pale and off.

Ughh

I didn't get a photo of the food before we ate it.

We all scoffed it down so fast.

It was so delicious!!

I dunno how I stomached this a day after being in hospital.

I ate lots of garlic naan and cheese naan.

The next day D and I headed down to Haji lane.

I liked the shopping here a lot.

Got a few tops.

Wasn't feeling well so didn't want to try on clothes. Otherwise I think I would of got a lot of stuff here!

It looks like a back alley yeah?

If the cab hadn't dropped me here I would of drove straight past it.

It stank too.

After looking through the shops I needed to pee and sit in air con so we went into this random place that ended up being some sort of tourist middle eastern style restaurant.

We ate mushrooms and salad and the WORST HUMMUS OF ALL TIME.

How can you screw hummus up? Especially in a middle eastern place.

On my last day I went upstairs to the hotel pool to take a photo of this Fish Lion and it was all smoggy or something!

Universal Studios Sentosa Singapore

Hello!

Here are some photos from Universal Studios on Sentosa Island in Singapore.

You can tell it's still in its soft opening stage. Not all rides are open and during the day, two rides were closed for a period of time for repairs.

It was still such a fun day and I would recommend it. I think tickets were only around $35 because it's still in its early stages.

Universal Studios did NOT have enough novelty food like Disneyland does.

We need more trashy goodness!!

I thought this photo of D and K2 hilarious.

Hahahaha!

We got buckets of popcorn to eat during ride lines.

However, there were no lines all day. YAY!

We went and watched the Shrek 4D movie which was lots of fun!

I may have screamed like a baby.

We ran over to the Jurassic Park ride to find out that it was closed for repairs. I had a tanty.

K2 and I took a photo looking like dinosaurs though.

So did K1 and D but theirs was inferior so I didn't post it. HA!

I went on this dinosaur ride while the other guys went on a roller-coaster.

I was too scared to go on it.

I was scared on this kids ride to be honest.

I am woosey.

This is the "main street" area that is supposed to look like NYC I'm assuming.

None of the shops are open yet though.

Balls.

Although there was a hat shop.

I tried on a Pharaoh hat and did my best impersonation.

We ate in this cool 60s diner place and listened to Elvis.

Here is me at Shrek and Fiona's castle!

We then went back to the Jurassic Park ride which had been fixed!! YAYYY!!

The sign said "You may get wet" so we bought some ponchos to wear!!

HOWEVER

IT DID SWEET F ALL AND LOOK HOW WET I GOT.

THIS WAS WHILE WEARING A PONCHO!!!

Imagine if I didn't wear a poncho.

So with my hair ruined and clothes INCLUDING UNDERWEAR being soaked we decided to walk around to try and dry off.

U.S should REALLY have hairdryers at the exit of the ride. They dont even have the hand ones in the toilet that you can put your head under.

We left U.S and next door is a Hershey's store.

We decided not to buy anything though because it would melt in the heat.

Then we went over to Hard Rock cafe for some cocktails and nachos!

YAY. I had a traditional margarita. I love them. mm salty.

Still soaking wet.

Sitting in air con while wet is balls.

At least you can see the cool shoulder pads on my tee shirt!

Then on our way back to U.S I bumped into a Reese's Peanut Buttercup!

YAY

Then a few minutes later some more characters came out!!

I dunno WHAT D is doing to that Hershey's Kiss.

Weirdo.

Maybe trying to eat it?!

Then we went back to U.S

The main rollercoaster was broken down but looks how scary it would of been!

WAH!

My friends all went on The Mummy ride a few times and loved it! I was too scared.

We went back to the Jurassic Park ride and I think in total, we went on it about 8 times. AT LEAST.

The staff thought we were nutsos.

By the end of the day we were all HEAD to TOE SOAKED.

We couldn't be any wetter.

We all stank of chlorine.

It was 7pm and we weren't drying so we jumped in a cab home.

It was disappointing not to have a Parade or Fireworks at the end of the day like Disneyland does,

but maybe they will introduce this after their full opening?

I'm not sure.

The Park is VERY small and hopefully it will be expanded over the years.

It was still a fun day though! All due to the company I spent it with.

Singapore Night Safari

After Bali, D and I flew to Singapore to meet friends K1 and K2.

In Singas, D and I decided to keep up the buffet breakfasts in the morning.

It was good.

The Mandarin Oriental in Singapore has one of the best buffet breakfasts I've ever had.

Some mornings I would eat Indian for breakfast.

SO OFF.

I just try and pretend it's not breakfast time.

D ate Indian for breakfast everyday.

He's straight outta Calcutta.

I had below just one big of Indian. Those lentil donut things.

I had to MAX UP on fried carbs because I had 10 days of no carbs before going to Bali.

I missed them A LOT.

I also had fresh pink guava juice. It's the best.

The next day I had green.

It was good too.

I also had wheat grass shots most mornings. How disgusting are they?

Remember when they were the best shit in health? Now they are old news.

During the day we went shopping. No exciting photos.

Then at night we had to get one some coach and go to the Night Safari.

Wish I could of got a cab.

I dunno why we had to get two buses there and wait around a dock for 40 minutes.

So you go on a golf cart like train thingy through the "jungle" and your host tells you about the animals.

No flash is allowed so all the photos turn out like this,

That was a hippo by the way.

I forgot to bring my glasses and it's all very dark so I didn't get to see much at all.

After the tour you go and watch a show.

Here is the clearest photo from that.

Then they teach you about recycling and the environment and protecting the jungle.

Wah wah.

I didn't pay for a lecture on that.

I'm thinking it's for the kids. Clearly we all know to separate our recyclables and not to be a litter bug.

We got to see these cute little otter like creatures put cans in bins though.

It was the best part of the night safari.

They were so cute.

D got a coke and it came in this cool pirate mug.

I wanted him to steal it but I'm scared of Singaporean police.

They'd probs give him a life sentence.

K1 and I got Ice Milo because that's what you do in South East Asia.

It was delicious.

The Night Safari had some Halloween stuff going on.

I liked it.

This guy below would be still for 10 mins and then all the sudden move and growl.

It was scary.

I think we needed two more people to make this photoshoot work but D and K2 were taking photos of us.

My head hardly fit in.

It wasn't comfortable.

So I decided to "wrestle the croc like Steven Irwin".

My dad poured dark rum into it and half a glass of long island ice tea.

It was then deemed " the most disgusting drink EVER"

and had to be thrown out. No one could drink it.

I now know not to let my dad near my drinks.

D and I were obsessed with the water slides like 10yos and played on them for hours.

I was sore the next day.

One night we went for dinner and drinks at the The Legian. I didn't get any photos of the hotel. What a pity. It was lovely.

I ate this tasty tofu dish.

It was right on the beach and we walked down there to have a look.

There was bats swoopin all over the place!! Wahh I got scared I was going to get rabies so I ran back quick.

As a result, in the photo I look like a ghost.

I hope one day this photo turns up somewhere as a ghost photo.

Hello!

I have been away.

We went to Bali and Singapore.

I went to Bali with D and my family. There was 10 of us in total.

It was a lot of fun!

I was scared to go to Bali.

Eeeeek!!! I actually expected to hate it, but I had such a great time. I will definitely go back to Bali!

We stayed at the Pan Pacific Nirwana and I have no idea where it is.

Near Tanah Lot temple? About an hour from Kuta.

This trip was all very last minute and planned by my cousin so I'm not too sure on the details.

Here is the villa D and I stayed in.

Here I am. On the right is our bedroom/bathroom hut.

On the left is our day beds and outdoor dining area and behind me is the plunge pool.

Zeee plllunngeee pooolll.

Was great for privacy if you don't feel up to the pool scene.

The kids loved it because it was nice and shallow and they didn't need their floaties.

This was the first holiday in my adult life that I have ever got up early enough for buffet breakfast!

It was fun. I will try and do it on all future holidays!

I like making plates of weird combinations. I feel guilty if I dont eat it and try and pass it on to someone else. ie. D or my mum or dad. Hahhahaaa.

People say I was crazy for eating salads and fruit in Bali. But I wasn't scared of "Bali Belly"

I could of lost a few kg from all the vomiting.

I like to eat my All Bran with banana and blueberries for breakfast in the mornings so I BYOd my All Bran.

HA. Don't laugh. I take my fibre seriously.

There were no blueberries at the buffet so I requested strawberries and bananas.

They gave me a massive plate.

How can one person eat all these bananas?

I thought the bananas were funny.

They tasted weird.

One day we got a driver and did a little run around Kuta.

I'm so glad we did. Drivers are so cheap in Bali and it's so much easier because they can pick you up/drop off exactly where you want to go. No getting lost and dealing with heaps of taxi drivers.

We went to Hard Rock Cafe because I wanted Nachos. Bali Nachos. Haaaaaa!!

To be honest, I don't get the appeal.

I would never go back.

We were there for a whole of 30 seconds and it was 30 seconds too many.

I've never seen such a large collection of Aussie Bogans in one area.

Ughhh.

Even in Hard Rock Cafe, girls would come in with wet bikinis and a singlet on for lunch.

I was like "Plz cover your cooch while I eat nachos with my parents k thnx"

ughh.

I dont get the whole Kuta Beach thing.

The rest of Bali that I saw, was lovely. I don't know why people would hang in Kuta, when a paradise awaits them in nearby areas.

Maybe it's because I'm getting old and cranky.

Balinese people are so lovely and friendly. I dunno how they put up with all the obnoxious bogans.

I just took some photos of some things that I haven't blogged about recently.

I wanted to make sure the hood stayed up because I love the hood.

Here is a Sass & Bide hoodie that I got about 2-3 months ago ( I think?! )

I've worn it a lot during winter with a snow thermal underneath.

It's so comfortable.

I got this Sass & Bide dress a few weeks ago.

It's so effing short. I don't know how they call this a dress.

I've been wearing it with a skirt or short underneath. It becomes annoying with the elastic band so I think I have to wait until summer and wear it will leggings underneath.

I have been trying to lose 3kgs over the past 5 weeks and it has been hell.

We were at Jean Pierre Sancho in Perth.

Hello!

The weather is so nice in Perth today. I walked around in a cardigan - in WINTER!

Perth has "winter" Melbourne has winter.

Hahahhaa.

It's been really cold all week and now that I go back tomorrow its going to be 23. Clearly, Mother Nature hates me.

I've suspected this for a while now but I think this week confirmed it.

I'm trying to think of the farmers. Farmers need the rain. Yesss.

Anyway, HERE IS MY NEW SCARF. hsdlfkjsldfiosudf. yessssssss.

It was a pain in the ass to get. Got less than average service from some people at LV.

Ughhh. Went on a goose chase around Melbourne.

Only to have it repeated again the next week trying to get D a tie. Not so happy with them lately. Although, I met a lovely LV SA in Perth called Kate though. If Perth people are looking for a nice SA that doesn't act snooty then go see her.

Anyway,

I got this new leopard scarf in black and greeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

JUST IN TIME FOR SUMMER. hahahaha.

It's still cold in Melbourne so I will get wear out of it.

I have to make this quick because a friend is on their way to town to meet for a coffee.

On Ds Bday we went to 1907 in Perth.

It was nice. I think the place is called 1907 because the building was built in 1907.

I wore this Elizabeth & James top that I have posted before.

LOOK AT MY EYEBROWS.

I got THREADING. It was pretty terrifying.

I'm still unsure about threading. I feel like she took nearly all my eyebrows off.

I had hardly any to begin with. Now even less!

This dish below was some sort of artichoke risotto with parmesan snap and roasted whole artichoke.

My fav dish was the first one which was a soup. No photo :( booo.

Here is some vegetables arranged all arty.

I like these type of dishes.

Call me boring, but I like plain vegetables. I think they taste nice. No need for over saucing.

It's my British blood taking over my taste buds!

Here was some sort of tortellini. Cant remember the filling. But I remember thinking I'd like another 10 on the plate so it can be a real dinner.

Hahaha. It was nice.

Mushroom gnocchi with truffle.

I have to say, I DONT like truffle.

I think it tastes like dirt.

I don't understand why people go nuts for it.

It's very meh to me.

Here was some dessert.

The fairy floss was nice. I think the ice-cream was maybe mango.

I have no idea why they served baklava. That was my only real dislike of the night.

BAKLAVA? COMON.

I just feel like this isn't something you serve at a restaurant that isn't greek.

It's too easy/cheap of a dessert.

It's something yiayia makes and you eat it to make her happy.

It's not a degustation dessert.

There were other dishes but I didn't take photos of all of them.

I also didn't take a photo of inside the place so here is some photos I got from their website.

I like the horse.

Overall we enjoyed the evening. The degustation is LONG. We were there for 4+ hours. Zzzz

But you can just order entrées mains etc for a quicker dinner.

This isn't relevant to this post but I wanted to share.

I bought this Philosophy kit a few weeks back from Mecca.

I really liked it.

It did give me a pimple on my lip but I think that was my fault. I dunno. But my skin looked and felt v nice.

The other week D looked like a zombie. Or someone who hadn't slept in a week ( highly likely).

I forced him to do this. He acted like such a baby but then after his skin looked so much nicer. More fresh looking and less zombie looking.

He claims it has a "BURNY" feeling.

But the beauty therapists call this "warming sensation"

Anyway, I thought I would post about my experience for those girls who like to exfoliate their face.

I think because it has a 2 step process and has the warming feeling, you feel like it does something more. Haha. How silly. I dunno.

But when I had some professional facials it had the same kind of effect and feeling.

So I feel I'm doing a bit of a DIY at home facial for a quarter of the price.

Ok MUST go.

Hello ~!!!!!!!

Happy Mondayyyyyy!! If you were in Melbourne, did you like the weather today? It was almost spring like. The sun came out and I hardly recognised it.

Here is some photos of our dinner to celebrate finishing the detox. HAHAHA.

Does my skin look glowing like they promised?

It's probably just the three layers of concealer + foundation.

I look damn huge in this photo. My head is about double the size of Ds. But who cares because my hair looks big. BIG. I spend a good amount of time trying to get big hair. YAY

Here we are having those amazing Raspberry & Hazelnut Martinis.

Yum. Nothing enhances your post detox glow like vodka.

Hahaha.

Here is one of my fav dishes again. The cold tofu with soy and sesame and chives.

It's so nice.

Here is my second favourite Nobu dish. Anti-Cucho tofu skewers.

So nice and spicy!

We asked the waitress to choose four different cocktails for the table and one of them was this chilli thing.

It was SO DAMN HOT. omggeee.

Not normal. I think I can handle chilli pretty well but this was off the chain.

Hotter than nandos extra hot peri peri sauce.

Wahhh!!

I have a feeling my friend A and her chili loving Malaysian background family will love this drink though.

After dinner we went and saw Inception.

Urban Remedy Cleanse Results + Sass&Bide tee + jewellery

Woo!

BUSY week.

I have finished the Urban Remedy cleanse!! Let me say. I DID NOT CHEAT ONCE!

WOO!!

I didn't even have the "okay foods" (celery, cucumber, lettuce)

Nudda. I am v proud.

I can honestly say I didn't get hungry ONCE. I just missed the smell/taste/process of eating. I realised how much I thought about food though. I plan a lot of my day around food. Interesting.

I have to say on Day 2 and Day 3, I REALLY struggled with Juice 3. It's really quite horrid. I only had 2/3 of the bottle on Day 2 and D forced me finish it on Day 3. It's just hard to drink.

Juice 6 really tastes like something that should be slapped on my face at a day spa.

I forgot to take photos of the juices. Dang. Every lunch time I'd remember but then get home and forget!

But here is a photo of the little cooler bag they give you to carry your juices around in !

Okay.

I weighed myself on the morning of Day 1 and the morning after Day 3.

I know you all want to know the numbers.

I lost 3.4kg

I don't know if thats a good thing or bad thing.

Did it mean I was carry a lot of fluids in myself that got flushed out with all the drinking?

Cuz it surely isn't any fat loss.

I did work out during the cleanse though. So perhaps I lost 1kg of real fat? Only time will tell.

I wonder if I would of lost the same if I didn't work out? Probs not.

I also did dry brushing and had 1x 1hr body massage and 1 x 1hr reflexology and shoulder massage.

My skin looks brighter according to D but I dunno.

I think my stomach is a bit flatter.

It's odd that I didn't experience any symptoms as well. I dunno whether that meant I was healthy or my body wasn't flushing toxins. I have no idea.

Oh well. I feel proud for finishing it !!

Here is the new cut tee from the "Tomorrow the Great" collection from Sass&Bide.

I like this cut. I told myself I wouldn't buy anymore S&B tees but it didn't seem to last long.

I'm not so sure about this colour of tee. I think it looks a bit "I washed my white tee with my black tee" but D liked it, so I thought I'd give colour a chance!

I like the hemming at the bottom.

Lately I've been really liking S&B jewellery collection.

I thought I'd share my skin care stuff too.

A few months ago I started using Perricone MD Cold Plasma range and I really love it!

To be honest the smell is OFF but I'm hoping no one comes that close to notice.

*mask with perfume* haha.

This is the ONLY product I've ever used that I've noticed results within 3 days.

My skin just feels smoother and the tone of my skin seems more even. I think I looked fresher. Whatever that is. My skin looks less manky and dry.

You use the cold plasma under your normal daily moisturiser. I use Clinique DDML and it works really well together.

Look at these weird roses I got for home.

Weird huh? I wonder if they grew like this or if they put some sort of dye through a white rose? I have no idea about this sort of thing.

Do pink and white roses growing next to each other kind of "breed" ? HAHA

I dunno. Rose Sex. Hahahaaaaaaaaaaaa.

And a last but not least, my IPAD!!!

I was in Perth on the day they came out and I wasn't planning on getting one. The lines were CRAY CRAY in Melbs and Sydney.

At about 3.30pm I was on Hay St and thought I'd go take a look in DJs at the display ones.

Well. I am a sucker because 5 mins later I was swiping my CC and saying "gimme gimme"

No Lines...Nothing!! Thank you PERTH!

Anyway, I am obsessed with playing Words With Friends on my iPad.

Urban Remedy Cleanse : Day 1

YAY! I survived day 1.

I was pretty scared on Tuesday night. Thinking "Why the hell am I doing this?"

I wanted to binge so badly but refrained.

It was just instinct to eat 3 days worth of food!!!

OK so

JUICE 1 :

Apple, Lemon, Cos Lettuce, Celery, Silverbeet, Parsley, Cucumber.

This juice tasted very "detoxy" something I wouldn't choose to drink but tasted like some sort of healthy juice. Ha. I can pick up more on the celery and parsley in this juice than the other flavours. I wish they had used continental parsley instead of regular parsley. Then it might taste like some yummy tabouleh juice!! OOOH YEH! Some nice tabouleh juice for breakfast.

The first juice took me about 30mins to drink because I was excited about starting detox.

JUICE 2 :

Pinapple, Apple, Mint. This sounds delicious!! It's pretty much tastes just like straight up pineapple juice though. I can't taste the mint at all ! I wish they went heavy on the mint so then I could pretend it was a mojito and i was back at Cafe Del Mar in Ibiza.

Maybe I can add extra mint? That would be nice!

I might email them and ask them!!

Surely that would be okay to add fresh mint leaves? Because I can drink peppermint tea.

I'm excited by this.

JUICE 3 :

Orange, Acai Berry, Cucumber, Pineapple, Carrot, Broccoli. This was my least fav of the group. It's taste is just like ass and i was in struggle town. I had to just gulp it down without thinking.

After juice 3 I had a nice peppermint tea. It really helped feel warm and content.

I have to remember " NO PAIN NO GAIN" I knew it wouldn't all be easy.

JUICE 4:

I had juice 4 at about 5pm so I considered it my "dinner juice" HAHA. I kinda feels way because it has Beetroot, Carrot, Apple, Lemon, Spirulina and Ginger. But you really only taste the beetroot. I think there should be more ginger.

But WARNING: Use a straw with this juice. I didn't bring a straw out with me and I had to drink it from the bottle. You get beetroot stain all over your mouth and lips and look like you've been sucking someone's blood a la True Bloods fav lesbian vampire Pam.

JUICE 5:

Before I had Juice 5 I went to Starbucks and got a Venti Peppermint Tea. Yay. They assured me it was herbal and no caffiene. I don't trust Starbucks so I have to ask these questions.

By juice 5 it's now 7pm so by this time I should be hungry but I'm not.

Juice 5 was actually my favourite juice of them all. Lemon, Water, Agave Nectar, Cayenne Pepper. I liked this one a lot and I think it's something I would of bought if I saw it in the shops. Its just a nice refreshing lemony type juice.

I think this juice is very similar to the Lemon Detox Diet.

I don't think I could do this "diet". I just love lemon too much and I fear I'd get sick of lemons forever after having only lemon water for days.

By this time I took a one sip of juice 6 to see what it tasted like and to curb any sugar cravings.

JUICE 6:

Coconut Milk, Raw Cashews, Cinnamon, Vanilla Bean, Water, Agave Nectar.

I thought I would like this juice the most because it was like a dessert juice but i thought it was just okay. I only drank half of the bottle.

I was too tired to finish it.

I wish it had more Cinnamon but I am NUTS for cinnamon.

Zzzz

Anyway

I fell asleep at about 10.30pm last night which I haven't done since I was about 12.

I was so tired. Not sure if it was because a very long busy day or because of detox.

I had to carry around all my juices because I was out all day and night. I hated having to answer to everyone about the detox and why I'm "starving myself"

It became tiring after the 3rd person.

My mum thought I was on a doctor ordered detox. HAHAHA Bless.

Let me tell you one thing though that no one from Urban Remedy told me.

YOU PEE LIKE A MAD WOMAN.

I was peeing all day.

It was embarassing.

I had to pee like every half hour.

Pee Pee Pee.

I thought it was just me but I asked my friend K who is doing the detox as well and it's the same with her too.

Prepare for peeing.

If you are in a job where you can't take breaks to pee then rethink this detox during working days.

I weighed myself yesterday morning before Juice 1 and this morning before Juice 1 and I have lost 2.5kg.

Isn't that mental?

Surely that can't be right. I might of been carrying loads of water weight?

I have no idea.

I was really shocked when I weighed myself.

I thought I'd be about half a kilo lighter.

Weird huh?

I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

My stomach does look flatter but I'm still a bit confused.

Wahhh.

I am sitting here in bed at 12 terrified of the thought of the next three days.

What have I donnneee???

I read about the Urban Remedy detox on Marlo Perry's blog.

I thought I wanted to try it. I dunno why.

Probably the cutesy packaging.

Lets not lie. I am easily sucked in by things like that.

Hahahhaa.

Ok but more seriously, I think it was because it didn't require pills and powders.

That kind of detox seems weird to me.

For those of you who don't know, I will be drinking 6 juices a day for 3 days and that is it!

You can have water and herbal teas too.

I think I was drawn in by the challenge of not eating for 3 days.

I think there is no way in hell I can pull this off.

I'm trying to remember of the money I'll be flushing down the toilet if I cheat. I will use this as a motivator.

I will try and blog the next three days so I can be honest about my experience.

Zzzzzzzzzzzz.

I think if when it comes to being told I can't eat something, it's going to be all I think about for the next three days.

Today I kept thinking I need to stock up on three days worth of food so I dont get hungry. Hahah. I resisted temptation mainly.

Although, I did have an extra coffee before dinner.

COFFEE I WILL MISS YOU MY FRIEND, BUT I PROMISE I WILL SEE YOU SOON

Hey everyone!!

Thank you all for welcoming me back :)

I thought no one had noticed I stopped.

On Wednesday I took photos for a friends T-shirt label.

It was fun but a lot harder than I expected.

I have zero photography skills. The only photos I take are the ones you see here.

But I think they were happy with the results.

While M was changing into different Ts, D, his brother and I were mucking around.

Here is D pretending he is some sort of break dancer. Which is 1000% not. Hahaha.

This photo is kind of convincing though. Hahahhaa

I think he had fun. He is on school holidays now so it was great to have his help.

I think it took his mind of VCE for a day so thats good too.

Here is a keyring I got in Tokyo. It's cute. I dont know where I will use it.

The night before the photoshoot we went to Nobu for dinner.

We ate/drank a lot. It was glorious.

I heard yesterday that Robert De Niro is in town. I like to think he was dining with me that night and I just didn't notice.

Here is my new S&B top. It's from the new season but looks almost identical to everything from the last season.

I liked that it had a high neck. D thinks I always have my "rack out" so I'm pretty much going to only wear turtle necks from now. HAaaaaaaa.

He is going to not like that I wrote that. Hahahaaaaa too bad he doesn't have the internet right no so he can suck it.

My nail colour is Chanel Lotus Rouge. It matched my drink!

A few weeks ago I went to ACMI to see the Banksy film Exit through the Gift Shop.

It was fun. I felt bad for Mr Brain Wash. They made fun of him a little too much perhaps. I dunno. I felt bad for him.

Anyway, I liked this huge thing outside so I took a photo. Just found it then!

Along with these photos too!

I got a Nespresso machine about a month ago.

I love it.

It's so easy and no cleaning.

I recommend them. Obviously it doesn't compare to "real" coffee but its nice quick and easy to make while I'm getting ready in the morning.

I love the cute little pods that come with it!

I love photographing roses.

They always look so much nicer in close up photos than real life.

I am watching TV and relaxing tonight. I feel so burnt out from the last 2 months.

I think I need to sleep for 3 days to catch up.

I am heading back to Perth tomorrow so I will try and take some more photos this week!

However I might not be able to blog :(

Yummy. I could eat guacamole every day!

Here is a cheese and mushroom tortilla and some sort of vegetables cooked in a red pepper.

They were nice.

For drinks I had the mamasita margarita. It's very nice!

D had this red chili beer type cocktail that was also nice. Sounds gross though!

This was supposed to be some sort of mint dessert but really was just some sort of custard shiz. EW. I had two mouth fulls. Yuck.

Hahahha. So stupid.

This dessert sounded so exciting.

Jalepeno and chocolate ice cream.

It tasted like chocolate ice cream.

I dunno where the jalepenos were.

Next we have the newish MAZE restaurant at Crown Metropol.

I really loved the food! Will be back for sure!

The staff all seem very young there and it was quite hard to get attention for drinks etc.

Then once you finally do its about a 10 min wait.

So we started ordering heaps at once so we weren't constantly without a drink.

We did the vegetarian degustation. I think it was 8 courses.

My favourite dish of the night was the first dish, the soup. But I took no photo.

D and I both thought it tasted like Aperge in Paris.

I wore this black Country Road knit that has a sparkle through it. But the camera didn't really pick it up.

Here is a course which was basically beetroot with goats cheese.

This was some sort of potato salad with the thinest sliced avocado ever! Very impressive.

Almost looks like cucumber!

Cauliflower dish.

The bread there is so delicious!!! They serve it in this warm steel canister so it stays warm, and serve it with salt and seaweed butter.

Here for dessert we have a lamington thing.

We also had a carrot cake.

I didn't like either of the desserts.

I think I'm not into 95% of deserts. I'd rather eat salty chips anyday!

Then after dessert you get these strawberry ice cream balls covered in white chocolate.

Which we also didn't eat.

Its all too much sweet and sugar.

Three desserts Bleughh.

But I think most people would really enjoy it!

Being in Perth so much makes blogging difficult also because I don't have the internet there :(

Perth is nice during the day but at night it can get a little cool.

We had South Indian food in Northbridge at Maya Masala.

I like Masala Dosais and garlic naans!

We ate in Northbridge 6 out of 8 nights while in Perth. Hahahaha.

And 4 nights in a row at the same place.

Eeeep!!

Hello!

I've been in Perth for about 5 days now and I've been really lazy with the blog/photos/internet.

I only have internet on my phone and iPad. I should blog about my iPad next! Forgot about that.

Woops.

Anyway. I have to be quick.

Here are the nail polishes I got in changi duty free! Apart from the "particulere" which I found in Tokyo. Had to get a spare one incase something happened to my original one. Haha. I know that sounds crazy.

They were so cheap at Changi. I think around $22 each. I stocked up. It's easy to go into a frenzy whilst duty free shopping. The possibility of a bargain takes over and you lose all sense of rationality.

On the upside, I think I have my winter nail polish colours down pat.

I think my favourite is "Fire" right now.

It's just a nice red.

We went out on Saturday night for a friends Birthday! Woo.

How was everyones weekends? I got sick on Saturday night. Either the flu or something with flu like symptons.

I felt like balls yesterday but today I'm much worse.

I am taking all the tablets and teas and what not so I'm hoping to be up and running by tomorrow. I will keep telling myself that.

Singapore

Let me show you what we ate on the plane to Singapore.

It was so much food I felt like chucking.

Here some sort of weird chopped vegetables in cups thingy we had as an appetizer.

My favourite part is the random bit of wriggly red capsicum.

Here is the entree salad. I like how it is presented. I found it weird that they cut off the skin of the cucumber.

The skin of the cucumber is the best part. I like how it is crunchy.

Here is the main. It was quite tasty actually! For plane food it was good.

Especially for a vegetarian meal. Usually I get rubbish.

The fresh basil leaf made me happy.

REAL ESPRESSO ON A PLANE!! Qantas if you are reading plz take notice!

Another funny thing about Singapore Airlines is the crockery. It's Givenchy.

How Hillarious.

Why would one want to use designer crockery in the sky? hahaha so funny.

Japanese dessert thingy. It was SOOO NICE.

I have no idea what it was though.

Similar to Panacotta but I think it was some sort of soy number. It wasn't milky tasting.

Hmm. Not sure of the sauce either. It wasn't berry. It was sweet and kind of floral.

Real strawberries in icecream.

Cheese and crackers!!!!

Can you see how much cheese there is? And they give me 3 crackers. What are they crazy?

We asked for more crackers.

3 crackers.....crazy people...I think the yellow stuff was dried pawpaw maybe? Not sure. it was nice.

I didn't really pack for hot weather. I kind of worked something out.

I wore D's hat. It covered my hideous humidity hair.

I think I only wore it for about an hour.

I like hats, but I feel silly wearing them.

YAY! I love Singapore.

D and I ate at the Food Republic Food Court on Orchard.

Here he is having a nice cold beer.

Look at all the yummy Indian food!! It was very very nice. Probably the best Indian food I have had. Suprisingly from a food court!!

The green spinach one on the left was my favourite.

Garlic naan and mint paratha make me so excited!!!

This is out the front of Takashimaya. They were setting up for Singapore Fashion Week.

Which was ages ago now. Wish I could of seen Bryanboy.

Here is some things I got !

Duty Free perfumes!!

A whole heap of Chanel makeup and nail polishes duty free. Some toys and see the star and black thing? They are scourers for washing dishes. Cute yeah? The yellow dog thing goes over spray n wipe bottles. CUTE.

Some DiorShow mascaras and that Dior Addict lipgloss is so good! Sephora bronzer brush. Love these!

Finally I got my ye old faithful Clinique DDML and Frederick Fekka hair treatments. Hope these work out good!

And here is a stack of clothes I bought in Japan and Singapore.

I'm sure they will be in up coming posts as well.

I wanted to write about it but I think a lot of people aren't watching in with the US and it would spoil it for people watching it on Australian TV.

D and I had dinner at the Japanese restaurant in the Ritz Carlton Osaka, Hanagatami.

It was really nice.

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We don't eat meat,fish or meat or fish stocks. That rules out a lot of traditional Japanese recipes but the chefs changed their recipes slightly for us.

I was so amazed at how good they were!

I should really write a letter to say thank you.

The surroundings of the restaurant were lovely but I didn't take any photos.

It would of been a bit awkward. You know what I mean!

Look a the "Japanese Garden" aka trees in white stones.

It was really pretty.

For appetizer we had this lovely tofu dish.

It had a sweet sauce. I think it was miso. The butterfly was made from sweet potato. The cucumber was nice and crunchy.

Cute huh?

I may of had two. Hahahhahaaaaaaa

Entree we had this tofu dish with zucchini and okra. It was delicious!

SUSHI! D hates it when I take photos of sushi because he thinks they all look the same.

So wrong.

Plus I want to remember what I ate on my holidays for some reason.

Not sure why. Just do!

Tempura. I'm still not quite sure what vegetables we ate..

But can you see the cute dipping salts almost cut off in this photo?

They were all different flavours. Eg, the pink was cherry blossom, green was green tea, there was curry, seaweed and one other I cant remember.

I think they were some sort of special fancy salt. They were trying to explain it. I didn't really catch on.

I liked the use of different plates. It made it interesting when each dish came out.

We had a glass of champagne and a half bottle of sake.

How cute is the sake presentation?

In this photo D made me pretend to pour sake.

I explained how its supposedly bad to pour sake for yourself in Japan. So I pretended to pour his.

I wonder how seriously the Japanese people take it now.

I'd die of thirst if I waited for D to pour my drinks. haha. I think its a nice gesture though.

For dessert we had some Japanese style dishes.

Not sure of what they are called.

This was some sort of gooey thing with powder on the top.

Not sure what it was. Can't really explain the taste either.

It was nice and interesting though.

Very chewy.

AND RED BEAN!! WOOO

I love red bean.

Who doesn't? It's the best!

We also had delicious green tea. The REAL kind. The powder stuff. I have to find some of it in Melbourne. I'm not too fond of the tea bag variety of green tea.

Staying at the Ritz Carlton was funny.

I'm not into their style of decorating

ie, floral, ye olde worlde.

How funny is the bathroom?

It had 2 chandeliers.

Haha. Funny.

It was like he knew no one could speak English so when he forgot the lyrics he'd just make a word up. Hahah It was funny.

He did some Elton John and Billy Joel numbers.

Hey Everyone!!

How was your weekends?

Did your Monday suck?? I hope not! I get excited for Mondays. I think it's because of the possibilities that a new week can bring. Eg, a new week of tv shows to download. YAY! Hahaha.

For about a good year, I don't think I would of got through Tuesdays without Gossip Girl.

Anyway,

I'm trying to finish my Japan posts quickly so here it goes.

Here we are at the Kinkaku-Ji Aka Temple of the Golden Pavilion.

The trees were so beautiful. That shade of green really came up well through the camera.

Here is the actual Golden Pavilion. From what I understand, it was basically built as a retirement pad for some old important Shogun back in the day. Back in ol' 19diggity2. OR 1397. Same thing.

It has been rebuilt since then. I think perhaps more than once.

But you get the general idea.

Can you imagine us building a golden house for a retired military general here in Australia?

Hahahhahahaha. It would never happen.

Wiki also says during Japanese New Year the shrine gets just under ONE MILLION visitors a day. Cray Cray !!

Here is D and his pretty baby blue umbrella. He bought it for $3 at the shrine and it broke within 5 mins. He refused to take an umbrella from the hotel so I didn't feel sorry for him! HA!

There were loads of foxes through the place and they all had different objects in their mouth.

I liked them. They were sassy.

People write their prayers on these little wooden things and then the monks will burn them and your wishes will come true.

I wished that all my blog readers would win the Power Ball this week. Let me know how it goes.

Shinkansen to Kyoto/Osaka

D and I headed to Osaka on the Shinkansen Nozomi Bullet Train.

It was fun.

It was hell annoying to do with 4 suitcases. We managed though.

Here is the train.

How rubbish do our trains look in comparison?

Can you see how fast we were going by the window? Probably not.

I think it goes around 300km/ph.

It made me feel so sick. My ears were blocking and my head was feeling the pressure.

I'm the biggest travel suck. I always get sick. But this time D got sick too and he never feels travel sickness!

I'm wearing a leopard print tee I got from Zara. You can tell I was sick because I was wearing a tshirt in freezing weather. I felt so hot and sick. Ughhhhh!

I even took several trips to the toilet to vommy but nothing came out.

Weird huh?!

The lady came around with her food/drinks trolley and we bought these snacks.

I dunno WHAT the hell Grand Canyon flavour is, but I know I don't want to try it.

I imagine dust and dirt. It's probably smokey BBQ flavour. I dunno. That was Ds choice.

We arrived at ShinOsaka and got a cab to the hotel.

We stayed in the Japanese suite at the Ritz Carlton Osaka.

It was nice and suprisingly very affordable. ( well compared to the crazy tokyo prices)

Ds boof head got in the way of my photo. He does this A LOT. Thnxhun.

The suite had so many different rooms and areas. It was kind of difficult to photograph it all.

Can anyone help out? It's a tap on top of a bamboo slat. I thought it could be for foot washing but it wasn't near the entrance so I'm really at a loss.

I think we were on the 28th floor and you could open all the windows fully out!

HOW CRAY CRAY!!

I got so nervous. Stayed well away. Can you imagine the wind at that height?

I was scared if I opened the windows that the air pressure would suck me out or something.

I think the windows were there because the room was a smoking room.

It didn't smell like smoke though.

I was suprised to see it was smoking because you could imagine that the tatami mats would absorb the cigarette smell??? Imagine if they dropped a cigarette on the matts or into the walls or something?!?

Here is some yoghurt from downstairs that I had for breakfast.

I thought the bottle was very cute. I think the yoghurt was actually set in the bottle.

Toasted roast vegetable sandwich for breakfast.

Wish I had one now...Mmmmm Toasties in Winter are the best!

Pistachio cake. Sooooooooo good !!! Ommmggg. Makes Brunettis seems horrible in comparison. Haha!

This cake was SOOOOOO yummy!

I'm not usually all into desserts but the presentation of cakes in Japan sucks you in.

The cream and raspberries in this made it so nice.

Ordering coffee in different countries is always interesting.

I think we have the best coffee in Melbourne.

I don't understand why other countries have horrible coffee.

Anyway,

D and I ordered " 2 soy lattes"

I think thats enough to make about 8 cups of coffee.

Not too sure what the brown stuff is...????

I think the white was just warmed up soy milk.

It was weak.

We received this lovely chocolate bar thing.

I remembered it from the last time we went to Japan. It's very nice. The apricot bit is my favourite. I love apricot!

I was so scared to do this ! I think I asked D a million times "So, are you sure the window wont fall out?"

But I did it ! My heart was beating so fast. I hate heights!!

I think we were on the 46th floor. Is that right D? I cant remember.

My face is all sorts of weird here. I think I was feeling v nervous about being so close to the window and just wanting D to hurry up and take the photo. Eeek!

I wish I had another photo that wasn't so wanky posey but I don't. You can all laugh at this one. Laugh at my expense. Just not too much. Hahaha

On the 43rd floor we had a pasta lunch before leaving Tokyo! I think the place is called Grindole. I could be wrong.

I had some sort of power smoothy. It cost about 6 times the amount of a bloody boost juice.

It was odd.

I'm not sure if it made me feel better.

They had them in the Paris Park Hyatt too but I never tried one.

I was feeling a bit tired and lethargic so I thought I would try the power smoothy.

I liked the presentation.

The bread stick was really good.

Yummy salad!

All the salads I had in Japan were sooo nice! Crispy and crunchy. The lettuce was never soggy or soft.

Thank you Japan for your fantastic lettuce. I enjoyed it.

New York Bar & Grill and Shinjuku at night.

After our long days in Tokyo we liked to go upstairs to the New York Bar & Grill for nightcaps.

It had nice cocktails and a live jazz band every night. They were v good.

It is one of my favourite places in Tokyo.

I wore this Kirrily Johnston kaftan style dress. It is such a good travel dress because it is crinkle style so no ironing required! WOO!!

I wore this Make Believe necklace that D got me for Christmas last year. I don't think I have blogged about it yet?? Not sure.

Anyway, here it is!

It's pretty heavy. I get neck pains wearing it.

I might have a sensitive neck so don't let it put you off if you were thinking about getting on.

I wore my hair up this night because it was quite late and no time to get ready.

I think it makes me look like a boy. It's a very rare sighting of me with hair up. Haha!

Here we ordered a "Dessert tasting plate for 2"

I'm not complaining. We smashed it.

Ha ha ! It did take about an hour though.

New York Cheesecake with raspberry and cream.

I think this was strawberry ice-cream and kiwi fruit gelati. I'm not 100% sure. D correct me if I'm wrong.

I love fresh mint though. I always eat it and D freaks out because he thinks its for decoration only.

Meh!

This passionfruit tart was ULTRA tangy. My mouth goes all weird just thinking about it.

It was nice though.

Some sort of chocolate brownie number.

I would say this was the least nice of the 4 because its nothing special really.

Just a bit of chocolate and flour.

Meh

Tokyo Disneyland

D and I decided to visit Disneyland last minute in Tokyo. I thought we would give it a miss this time because we had been before, but we decided to go because we always have such fun and the weather forecast was clear for a nice day.

We headed in after lunch around 2ish and there was ZERO crowds. So bizarre.

So as soon as we arrived it started raining. A lot. Even though every media outlet said it was 0% of rain that day at the skies were clear. That is my luck. It has rained the last THREE times I've been to Disneyland. Weird huh?

Anyway,

Sucks to be Peter Pan because he had to fight off the pirates in his poncho.

I'm glad they had a Time Out before starting their sword fight to get weather appropriate.

Tigger joined in the pirade. He is very fluro isn't he?

Look at ol Pooh Bear in the corner down there.

We went on mandatory Teacup ride.

YAY!

I got Mickey ears btw. And I bought a big black hoodie because it was a lot colder than I anticipated.

I take the Teacups ultra seriously because it is my mission to make D spew.

We got some chips to try and get our energy levels up. It's one of the only vegetarian snacks at the park that is not 99% sugar. The kids love sugar don't they? Disneyland knows it. Everything is sugar x 100000.

But thats not important,

What is going on here?

Where is the rest of my chips?

Why do they only fill it up HALF WAY?

McDonalds in Japan does the same thing.

Cant they see I'm a greedy overfed westerner here?

I need my fat intake for the day.

How dare they.

I didn't have the camera up to my face so it's a bit all over the place but you get the general idea.

It does have sound, so for those of you who are being sneaky at work, put our computer on MUTE.

Here is some snack we had. It was sweet potato in a stick form type of donut thing.

We had a chocolate flavour one too but it was way too chocolatey and had to go.

Below we have a Disney Duck that just wanders around looking cute and begging for food.

Everyone walks around with popcorn tubs at Disneyland and you fill them with different flavours in the different lands. So I think that duck man here wants popcorn.

You can get honey, curry, soy sauce, salt etc. Lots of different flavours.

Here we have the infamous

"It's a small world" ride. It is great. I LOVE IT.

You are allowed to take photos. It is probably the only ride that allows them in Disneyland.

Anyway,

First off

YOU ARE ON A BOAT. What's not to love?

Secondly,

It has this marvelous chlorine smell. Mmmm.

Everyone loves the smell of chlorine. If you say you don't, you are probably lying to yourself.

It's a pretty marvelous smell.

Here are the lovely kids of the world.

They do look like they want to stab you in the face.

How can this not creep children out?!

I think all the kids of the world have the same face and just different hair to determine their nationality/race.

What clever cost cutting Disney. It looks like the boys and girls even have the same face. hahaha

But if you get a chance to watch again, do, its funny because its the song in other languages.

The whole thing is crazy.

CRAZY CHUCKY DOLLS

The crowd at Disneyland was basically non-existant.

The longest we waited all day for a ride was 7 minutes and that was for Winnie the Pooh.

The were no lines. It was weird but amazing.

We got to go on rides several times.

We would just come out the exit and go straight back to the start of the line on the other side.

SOOO GOOD!

My favourite rides at Tokyo Disneyland were:

Haunted House

Pirates of the Carribean

Winnie the Pooh

Then for dinner we had this lovely pasta. It was very nice for Disneyland food.

Very unexpected.

We headed home before the park closed because the fireworks were cancelled due to the rain.

In between 2.30 and 9 we would of gone on at least 10 rides and had lunch and dinner and did shopping and snacks and rests etc

That must be some sort of Disneyland record.

The princess castle makes me very excited.

I am not a girly girl. I dunno why. Maybe all the child hood memories of watching Disney films and how much I loved them?

My favourite Disney film as a kid was probably Roger Rabbit or Aladdin.

I did love Little Mermaid as well.

Too many to pick just one!!!

Laduree in Tokyo

I wanted to go to Laduree while we were in Tokyo so I could try their macaroons once again.

When we went there in Paris, I was really sick and lost my taste so I really had no idea if they were nice or not.

Here is the lobby of the hotel.

Those trees and plants are real. I checked. Hahaha

Here we are at Laduree. We had a nice seat at the window so we could people watch. Fun!

We had the exact same meal we had in Paris. It was so nice that everything was the same as Paris. It was like a trip down memory lane to remember our engagement.

We had vegetarian club sandwiches. They were nice. I liked the gold toothpick things.

Lovely espresso. I love espresso.

I think it was some stupidly outrageous price like $15. Pffft !

And here come the macaroons!! Woooooo!!!

They were yummy. I liked the licorice one best. It had a very subtle licorice taste.

The dark pink one was nice and sour and the orange one had some weird flavour we couldn't quite pick up on.

The chocolate one was okay.

I think I prefer the ones at Lindt Cafe though....

After that we headed to Tokyu Hands.

Which is popular in Japan it seems. I guess its some of or random department store that sells arts/crafts/kitchenware/toys/bicycles/partyware etc

I wish I got this cute teapot. Why didn't I buy ??!! WHY?!

Bat glasses?

Kind of like an extreme version of those new Wang sunnies. I tried them on in Tokyo. They looked too weird on me. Pity. They are cool.

He he !

Hahaha. They had so many funny sunnies.

But I went home with this instead.....

Now I just have to be invited somewhere to wear it .......

Yoyogi and Omotesando

On Sunday the weather was nice ( for the first time in my trip) so we head down to Yoyogi Park.

D hadn't been to Yoyogi on a Sunday.

We like the rockabilly crew.

They have great facial expressions. They put in a lot of effort.

One crew had a pink cadillac and some douche keyed it. I bet it was the rival gang.

I think the denim gang don't like the black leather jacket gang.

They do dance offs and turn their radios up louder to project more rockabilliness.

Go denim gang go !

Oooh black leather gang you are so bad.

White jacket? Maybe he is the leader.

Chicks get in on it too.

The black long sleeve top over it looks really see through in the photos but its really not so much in real life...

I think that ball games are very popular like some sort of tennis ping pong type hitting game.

Also lots of people play their instruments and walk their dogs.

I saw about 500 cute chihuahuas but felt weird taking photos of other peoples dogs.

Even though official cherry blossom season is over, there are still quite a few trees around the city that still have some bloom.

So pretty !

After that we walked down to Omotesando. I like the area.

D took this photo of some tulips blooming on the side of the walkway.

We got an espresso from this little van in an lane off Omotesando.

It was real espresso and it made me very happy.

I really miss real coffee when we leave Australia.

I felt even the coffee in Paris was rubbish compared to coffee back home..

I like his pot plants and bottles with random flowers in it.

Toy Shoppe

After we went to Hermes in Ginza, we went into this toy shop.

My "t" key isn't wanting to work today and I have to keep going back to fix it so if some words are missing "t"s, just imagine they are there please.

I was very happy to find different flavoured KIT KATS. Yessssssssssss.

I saw strawberry but we have that here and strawberry is off.

I got a green one which I think could be green tea but it sure didn't taste like green tea... hmm

and the other flavour I got was raspberry and passionfruit!! weird yum?

I just checked the green packet and it appears it is green tea and cherry blossom.

Can you even eat cherry blossom? I'm not sure.

It was yummy. Kinda tasted more like white chocolate though.

Wish we had flavoured Kit Kat in Australia :(

I look hardcore tan in that photo. It's a lie.

Stocking up. I don't know when I will eat them. I will probably save them forever and then they will go off.

Here is some more snacks I got from Lawsons.

Those cheese sticks come in a salad flavour too and let me tell you they are like crack!

You cannot NOT eat the whole box in one go. If you guys see these chips in an asian store please try them because they are the best. The salad flavour comes in a green tub. I think they must have MSG or something. I'm not sure.

The blueberry chocolate is a bit weird. I still haven't finished it.

I finished the CRUNKY though.

What a good name for a strawberry chocolate treat.

Does anyone know where I can get those riceball things in Melbourne?

I love them. They have some sort of bean inside and sesame etc. They are vegetarian.

They are very fattening so it's probably a good thing I don't have access to them.

I got that keratin/brazillian treatment thing yesterday. I cant wash my hair until Friday.

How foul is that? Hopefully it will repair some damage though.
