Flowers of the Week

I havent felt like blogging all week.

Ms Blogless's father passed away on the weekend and we have all been feeling for her.

May he rest in peace.

She went to Fiji, where he lived, to say one last goodbye.

Our thoughts are with ms blogless and her family at this very tough time.

I went to the farm to get this weeks flowers. i didnt feel like colour. it didnt seem right.

i needed something more classic. so i went with white and red roses. 

i decided not to put in the usual greenery and all the fancy extras. just let the flowers stand for themselves. i like the result. but having the heater on every day to 31degrees makes them wilt very quickly. oops.

As we speak, CouchShopper is boarding his flight from Karratha to Melbourne. He just informed me he got a free upgrade to business class! Merry Xmas to CS from Qantas!!!!

w00t . im so happy for him. he really deserves it. its a 6 hour flight so it will be bliss for him and i have no doubt that when he comes home he will be drunk. Yes you will. dont lie.

For those of you who know me in real life , you know i LOVE these lv monogram shawls. i love how kanye had costume changes. its truely kanye. such a poser. and he kept looking at himself on the screens throughout the night as well. priceless!!!

Kanye performed a lot of tracks from 808s which i was suprised about. i only thought he'd do 1 or 2. so it was a nice suprise. i think a lot of the crowd wasnt familiar with the songs though because the album had only been out here for about 1-2 weeks before the concert.

Nas was the support act for some odd reason? nas and support act shouldn't be in the same sentence but whatevs. maybe his cancelled tour from last year didnt sell too well?

anyways

nas KILLED IT !

his band was on fiiireeeeeeeeea!

he spat so clearly for about 30 mins atleast? 30-60 mins. he didnt sound out of breath at all...which happened to kanye towards the end of his set. either that or he had a bit of a blocked nose. ladylost and i were laughing so much each time he'd do a little nose snort. Ha !!!

it was a dream to see nas live so it was truly an awesome moment ill never forget. 

This was my 3rd kanye concert (!) and i'd go again and again. always lots of fun.

He let his heart out during Heartless and Love Lockdown and i appreciated it. It made me feel like he was being more personal with the audience and you could see his soul come through his lyrics ( ha ! but true!)

Swimming with Dolphins?

On the weekend CS and i and family went to Sorrento to go swimming with the "dolphins"

which ended up being swimming with seals.

there were no dolphins. they told us that 1 out of every 12 trips they see no dolphins.

i bet thats what they say to every trip !HAHAHAH

it was quite cold and windy but the lovely crew made us scones from scratch ( with dates!) and hot choc and teas.

lovely.

so CS swam with the seals but i chickened out. there be sharks in that ocean i tells ya!!!

youd have to be crazy to jump in. CRAZY!

ill swim with dolphins k? just not in the ocean with sharks and jelly fish etc,

only in a swimming pool.

hehehe

the dive instructor pulled out a starfish because he said it was a menace to (ocean) society!

The smell of this seals was like the smell of rotting carcass. or what i imagine rotting carcass would smell like. quite similar to the smell of donut king changing the oil in its vats in the morning. ROTTING CARCASS!!!

Xmas Tree Shopping!!!

Yay its now early December so it is time for xmas treeeeeeee!!! woot woot!!!

Usually i go with my parents to the xmas tree farm and we all fight over which tree to buy. it is hard to pick one in a massive farm! 

However, THIS year since i have moved out my parents seemed to think they could get whatever tree they wanted. ARGH! not happy! i want to choose both! im still a big kid damnit and i want to choose the trees!!

It took FOREVER! to get there

It is in NAR NAR GOON so its like i dun even know where but u drive forever and think ur in the middle of no where and then u see a lil sign telling u to turn left.

Once you get there, its not as easy as picking a tree about "yay height" and leaving. You have to pick the perfect height, shape, fullness etc

whilst having no weird gaps or weird dangly branches. the trunk has to be nice and straight and not lob sided.

It takes a while to find "the one" but when u find it, it's worth it. 

My puppy loves to come and she runs around like a bit of a nutsos but its all in the fun of the day. They had a goat at the farm that kept making weird noises. Interesting.

Now we are back at home and my dad and bf are putting it on the post while i sit in their massage chair and blog. ahhh what a tough life it is :)

Things in my home!

The other day i caved in and bought this marvelous candleabra. Im not sure if that is how you spell it but we'll stick with this for now. Ive been eyeing it off for a while but always felt bad because its quite expensive. I thought it was kind of silly and i'd get over it really quickly. It was on sale at DJ so I ended up just getting it. its by Villroy & Boch. is that right ? haha im not sure. im in the car now on the way to "SHOPPO" hehehe. so i thought i would blog while my bf drives. 

Anyway, once i set it up and put some candles in i was happy with the result :

While shopping in DJ i noticed this little Georg Jenson gems on sale and picked them up too!

And i thought i would take a photo of the flowers i have in my house this week. I like to change them every week and this week i was feeling white with a splash of red. I was happy with the result. The red roses seem to lift the otherwise black and grey room.

I might feature coloured flowers more often from now on !

And now i arrive at Doncaster Shoppingtown and i am ready to spend!! WOOT WOOT

Vegan Laksa!!!

I love noodle soups which are vegetarian. no animal stocks plz.

tom yum and laksa are favourites.

this is one of the best laksas i have found in melby.

it doesnt have heaps in terms of variety of vegie in the noodle but it tastes yum none the less.

This place has all sorts of mock meat dishes and vegie/noodle/rice dishes too.

Its always busy so a booking is really important!!

Flemington TAB

I went to a wedding at Flemington Racecourse on the weekend and outside near the station is Flemington TAB.

I saw this sign on the wall in the carpark and was quite shocked.

People really need a sign to know this? Parents like this exist?

I thought it was hilarious but sick and sad at the same time that they feel a sign actually needs to be there.

A sure indication of the people in the western suburbs! HA HA HA!
